Kiss Me

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today is my youngest boy's patron saint feat day. He doesn't know this yet...too young.

Today I have a layout for a lift the Guest Designer at The Flying Unicorn forum challenge - The Guest Designer one of my Favorites Solange Marques! I lifted #4 which is the little girl on the beach piece she posted on 2/13 - Here's the link.

This piece will go to a friend of mine from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Jill Jacobson who donated the wonderful photo. I still can't get over the lush purple in this photo, not only her dress but his pants and their shoes! Love it....
Now for a surprise the background embossed card stock is from Creative Memories their new Vintage Chic line. The gray paper is from my stash and I have no idea.

Details - My flowers started out white and I misted them and the oval chipboard with Memories Mist Lavender Tea and then with Lindy's Creme Brulee Cream for so gold sparkle. The leaves are Spellbinders dies with bundled sage and crushed olive distress ink or green embossing powder.

I have used Prima Soprano White Flowers and some Prima Shabby Chic Resin.

The chipboard bird cage is Dusty Attic from The Flying Unicorn and the oval is Studio 75 Summer Latte. The oval was misted and then embossed twice in clear and once randomly in clear sparkle.

Thank you for your visit - I love reading your comments!

Impossible

It's Reveal Day at About a Boy Scrapbook Challenge Blog - This rounds challenge use you scraps.
So I have scraps of chipsboard and random other bits from other projects.

I have used two new to me Donna Downey Stencils to mask the flowers with Ceramic Stucco medium. The stucco has a really nice texture and with a viva decor copper pen and some Lindy's mist painted on they are really cute.

The sentiment tag is really appropirate since my husband should not have been able to produce children and yet here is out first son at a couple of weeks old. :)

We hope you join us for this challenge and have fun creating with your scraps!

A close up - The masking allowed me to cover up some feminie elements in the background.

Cherish

Hello on a Sunday! I have a new layout to share using Authentique papers soon to be available from Sparkle and Sprinkle and the wonderful Lifestyle Crafts flourish die they sell. This layout will go to live in their shop with Margaret soon.

Huge thank you to my friend for letting scrap their photos!

I had inspiration from two Flying Unicorn BAPs one by Denise Jensen and the other by Adrienne Ford. I also been admiring the look of repetitive photos and trailing embellishments for some time.

My papers are Autentique Cherish One and Two with a Title from their Enhancements page. I started with gesso on my background and misted with Route 66 Glimmer mist, Rosey Plain Jane Sheer and Lindy's Stamp Gang Primrose Gold. I then used a floral stamp with Distress Inks Pumice. For my swirls I sprayed the die cut in Primrose Gold and Rosey Plain Jane then inked with Pumice Distress ink. The darker swirls are Victorian Velvet and Pumice Inks. I then cut the 11" die to arrange the parts.
The chipboard hearts are covered in gesso and Lavender Iris Glitter. The photos don't do the glitter justice - the glints of lavender in the white is just magical. Once dry, I brushed on Golden Soft Gel for gloss and Pumice Distress inks on the edge. The swirl chip board is from WOW Belle Flourish. I embossed with Gilded Ivory and Sweetheart. The pink roses are Prima Avon Rose Pixie Glen. The White flowers are misted in Cosmos Glimmer Mist and Route 66 and are Prima Soprano White. My leaves are Spellbinders Foliage and Rose Creations. I misted them in Lindys Freaky Franken Lime and Gossamer Gold. I then brushed the leaves, swirls and Soprano flowers with glass bead gel for texture and shine. Some close ups:

ATC Swap - The Flying Unicorn Forums

I participated in my first ATC Swap via The Flying Unicorn Forums. Since my secret recipient has received and revealed the ATC's I think it is OK to share here.

Please keep in mind that ATC's are 2.5" x 3.5". I used 140lb water color paper to cut our my cards so that they wouldn't warp. The swap was to send four ATC's of which two had to be 3D. Below are my creations:

Happy Mail - Webster Pages Park Avenue collection and Spellbinders Butterfly. I glued two clean and simple patterns together and water distressed to make the opening to see the door frame. I added distressed Tattered Rose to the butterfly to highlight the embossing. Finished off with Tattered Angels to make it sparkle.
(Happy Mail is a term at the Flying Unicorn for scrappy goodies arriving!)

Fairy Tale - Image from Webster 6x6 paper - Sparkle and Sprinkle embossing powder with glitter - I stamped a swirl image and covered with dimensional glue (Sparkle and Sprinkle) and then applied jewelry twine. I then painted the card with gesso, misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Gossamer Gold, applied perfect pearls Rose powder over the twine area.

Mirror Mirror - My Minds Eye 6x6 Lost and Found paper - Two quick Spellbinder Damask die cuts embossed and a vintage image fussy cut.

Gift of Love - Vintage image printed and fussy cut for paper toile - Spellbinders decorative label - Webster 6x6 paper for a background. Tattered Angels glimmer mist to make it all sparkle.

Try some ATC's they are a lot of fun and make cute gifts to friends.

About a Boy Challenge - Hoarders - March 1st Reveal Boxes

It's reveal day for About a Boy March 1st Challenge - Hoarders...Head on over and see the other wonderful designs by the team and play along!

The challenge is to use items in your stash for a year. I had a thing for My Minds Eye - Lost and Found and Everyday Fun. However when I got the papers they went into the desk and I would look and look but never used them.

These are my boys playing in a card board box - favorite toy of toddlers...
I distressed the edges of the background page and played with masks and black gesso and mists. The circles were inked and distressed. I used a small jelly jar with mist and acrylic ink to stamp small circles in the background. The gears are Petalpoo - misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang moon shadow mists. I used a 7 gypsies punch on the matting to imitate notebook torn sheets. The burlap was also colored with LSG using a daubber.
